Annual General Meeting
The School Psychologists’ Association of WA holds its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Annual Conference each year.
The Annual General Meeting is a great opportunity to connect with your fellow SPAWA members and have your say on important issues regarding the Association.
Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)
SPAWA is committed to reflecting on its role in supporting Reconciliation. As School Psychologists’, we play an extremely important role in supporting young people, schools and families, but we acknowledge that our perspective and training may not be best practice for all. In supporting our First Nations students, families and colleagues, it is important we take ongoing steps to better understand, collaborate and modify our practice.
We have a lot of work to do, but we are determined to start doing it. SPAWA have registered with Reconciliation Australia to begin the process of our Reconciliation Action Plan, a small, but important first step for us on this journey.
We would like to invite you, our members, to be a part, have your say and be involved. This is a significant piece of work for us and will take time to get right. We have formed a Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group, and we would like to invite members to join and contribute. The group’s initial purpose will be working with Reconciliation Australia on the process and begin engagement with First Nations stakeholders.
If you would like to register your interest in being a part of this working group, or would like to discuss contributing to SPAWA’s efforts in supporting Reconciliation, please email info@spawa.org
